What is Business Breakdown Cover and how does it work?
Our Business Breakdown Cover is designed for cars and vans used for work beyond simply commuting to and from a regular place of work. This can include travelling between different sites, visiting customers, carrying tools or equipment, or providing care in the community. If a vehicle suffers a mechanical or electrical fault, we'll send a service van to attempt a roadside repair, or arrange recovery to get you and your vehicle to a place of safety, onward destination or garage.
What happens if my business vehicle breaks down?
If your vehicle breaks down, whoever is driving can simply contact our 24/7 breakdown line on 0330 113 2433 and we'll arrange assistance. Our Business Breakdown Cover includes unlimited callouts and Accident Assistance as standard, helping you get back on the road and back to business as quickly as possible.
How is Motoring Assistance different from other breakdown providers?
Unlike traditional breakdown cover companies, we use a large existing network of fully-qualified, third-party Recovery and Service Van operators from across the whole country. This means that no matter where you break down in the UK, we'll have a provider nearby. This reduces the time customers have to wait at the roadside for their assistance to arrive, while also supporting local businesses.
What types of business use can you cover?
At Motoring Assistance, we can cover a wide range of business uses, including tradespeople, engineers, carers and other professionals who use their car or van as part of their working day. Your vehicle can also display your business name or branding.
Are any types of business vehicles excluded?
Yes. We don't provide Business Breakdown Cover for taxis, private hire vehicles, courier vehicles, delivery vehicles or vehicles used by removal companies. Please see our Membership Terms for full details of our exclusions.
Can I cover more than one business vehicle?
Yes. You can take out breakdown cover for multiple eligible business vehicles, making it easier to protect the cars or vans your business relies on. If you have a larger fleet, call us on 0330 113 2433, Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm, and one of our friendly team will be happy to help.
